The UK’s largest specialist debt recovery firm
As the UK’s largest law firm focused solely on the recovery of debt, we appreciate the role we play in representing the industry and our clients to deliver real commercial results whilst preserving customer relationships. That’s why year on year we have been recognised as one of the top tier firms in the UK by leading independent legal directory, The Legal 500.
The firm is committed to treating everyone appropriately and achieving ‘good outcomes’ from a customer perspective is at the heart of everything we do. Our innovative approach led to us receiving the Customer Service / Treating Customers Fairly (non lender) prize at the 2015 Mortgage Finance Gazette awards.
A strong legal heritage
Our business in Leeds is built upon strong legal heritage. In 2003, Drydens Lawyers was formed following a demerger from corporate law firm Hammonds (now Squire Patton Boggs). The business then merged with Fairfax Solicitors in 2012 to create a volume legal powerhouse with unrivalled collections and litigation capability. We are a solicitors practice authorised and regulated in England & Wales by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority for accounts formed under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (amended 2006).
The best of both worlds
The business uniquely offers the combination of a state of the art contact centre, a leading law practice with the capacity and capability to handle large volumes of claims and the technical expertise to deal with defended and complex matters.
A bright future
As the market consolidates, drydensfairfax finds itself as the only independent, specialist law firm that can handle significant volumes of both regulated and non-regulated collections and litigation instructions. This puts us in a unique position, offering 100% focus and commitment to the credit sector for the long term.
Our Executive Chairman, Philip Holden, is listed in The Credit 100 and The Lawyer's Hot 100 as one of the country's most daring, creative and innovative lawyers.
